Founded in 1928, St Catherine’s College is an independent college within The University of Western Australia, which offers long and short-term accommodation to undergraduates, postgraduates, fellows and visiting academics.
St Catherine’s College underwent major a redevelopment in 2014 that saw the introduction and improvement of common rooms, breakout areas, innovation hubs, study and tutorial rooms, computer labs, music and games rooms, a theatre, and private meeting rooms.
The increase in electricity usage associated with these improvements motivated St Catherine’s College to consider solar as a renewable energy source. After diligent research, Infinite Energy were selected as their solar provider due to our unparalleled experience in the WA commercial solar market.
Infinite Energy recommended and designed a 200kW system which we installed in February 2017, which will not only cut St Catherine’s College’s annual electricity spend by $84,000, but also reduce their yearly CO2 emissions by 257 tonnes.
