Aldi has had a big impact in the Australian food and retail market since hitting our shores in the early 2000's. Known for its one-stop shopping experience for a variety of different groceries and products, Aldi has a commitment to bringing quality and cheap prices to it's customers.
Due to the stores high energy usage, Aldi in Victoria Park began searching for ways to reduce the sites electricity spend. Solar was the key solution. Infinite Energy was selected to design and install a 99kW system using premium SunPower solar panels, optimised to produce 161, 850kWh of clean energy per year.
The system will allow the site to be predominantly powered by solar during the daytime, significantly lowering electricity costs and providing immense savings for the business. The system will also reduce CO2 production by 126 tonnes, the equivalent of 471 trees.
