Located in the West Australian premier coastal town of Dunsborough, The Dunsborough Centre Point shopping complex is home to over 29 stores. The centre offers a range of home, business, food, fashion and specialty stores and is a popular site for both tourists and locals.
With the costs of electricity continuing to rise, Dunsborough Centre Point needed to find improved ways of managing their energy. HFM, an engineering firm with a strong focus on improving a buildings efficiency, assisted Dunsborough Centre Point with analysing their options and after thorough investigation, Infinite Energy were selected to design and install a solar car park for the centre.
An innovative solar solution, the car park consists of solar canopies covering three double-parking bays, providing shelter to majority of the area. The 440kW system uses premium SunPower solar panels, and is currently the biggest solar installation in Dunsborough.
With an estimated annual production of 705,624 kWh, the system is expected to pay for itself within 7 years and will significantly reduce the sites electricity bills, providing substantial savings for tenants.
