Floreat Forum is a bustling sub-regional shopping centre, situated in the suburb of Floreat in Western Australia. Floreat Forum was officially opened in 1965 and was the first ‘American-style’ enclosed shopping centre in Perth. Customers can enjoy over 90 specialty stores and two major supermarkets, conveniently providing a wide range of products and services.
With a strong desire to significantly reduce the amount of electricity they draw from the grid and improve their environmental footprint, Floreat Forum selected Infinite Energy to design and install a 1MW solar PV system for the centre, which is the largest system that Infinite Energy has installed to date. The system will produce 1,610,375 kWh of clean energy each year, while also preventing 1,256 of harmful CO2 emissions from being produced annually; the equivalent of 4,687 trees.
