By deciding to invest in solar energy, hay and straw exporter Gilmac has found that it has improved its standing within the industry.
The market leader which currently accounts for more than one quarter of Australian hay and straw exports, Gilmac also operates a successful pellet fodder operation supplying feed pellets to domestic and export livestock.
Gilmac commissioned Infinite Energy to design and install a 30kW ground mounted solar PV system at their New Norcia location to relieve the peak of their daytime power requirements.
The Western Australian company has expanded its operations across Australia in order to meet the demands of competing in a global market and ensure continuity of supply. Gilmac is also in the process of installing solar at other locations with Infinite Energy, further fostering Australian business’ drive towards a lower carbon intense economy.
