Established in its current form in 1996 on some of the earliest settled riverside land in the upper Swan Valley, Upper Reach boasts some of the best wine and produce at its cellar door that the region has to offer. Handmade wines are hard to come by these days and it is in the painstaking attention to detail that the wine makers here demonstrate their passion and skill.
Recommended by another Swan Valley wine maker who developed a project also with Infinite Energy, Upper Reach applied a very analytical approach to their decision making. Facilitated by the unique blend of technical and commercial acumen, Infinite Energy’s approach was a considered one and ensured Upper Reach were making a decision they could understand and truly own. The site itself needed consideration in how to maintain its very attractive ambience whilst integrating the solar project. Every and all scenarios were carefully worked through, thus delivering a tailored solar solution to the winery.
Upper Reach now harnesses the sun to grow its product and power its wine making process, a combination of which seems most fitting for this outstanding WA wine maker.
