Education and sustainability go hand in hand and Clontarf College had a view to using the opportunity to install solar energy as a way of incorporating the study of renewable energy in to its operation as well as providing cost savings.
While undergoing a significant period of redevelopment works, the college engaged Infinite Energy to install a commercial solar system on Clontarf’s new building.
Scoping the appropriate system size via liaison with PACT and its sub-contractors, Infinite Energy was able to identify the system that best suited the requirements of the college, before operations had begun in the new building.
By cooling the building and providing power concurrently, Clontarf has achieved a good mix financial, environmental and educational outcomes for the College now and in to the future.
